The British Association for the Study of Headache

The British Association for the Study of Headache unites UK healthcare professionals dedicated to advancing headache research, education, and improved patient care.


The British Association for the Study of Headache (Ïã½¹ÊÓÆµ) is the United Kingdom national society member of the .

Membership

Membership is open to all healthcare professionals with an interest in headache. We work closely with other UK and international headache groups.

Founded in 1992

The Association was founded in 1992 by Dr TJ Steiner, The Princess Margaret Migraine Clinic, Charing Cross Hospital, London and was incorporated in 1998.

Ïã½¹ÊÓÆµ Council

As in all limited companies, the management of Ïã½¹ÊÓÆµ is in the hands of a Board of Directors, which is known as Council. The members of Council are also the Trustees of the Charity, and have responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Association.

Ïã½¹ÊÓÆµ offers bursaries to support members with training, research, and conference attendance, helping professionals advance expertise in headache care while easing financial barriers and encouraging active involvement in the association’s work.

The aim of Ïã½¹ÊÓÆµ is to promote education on headache disorders both among the professionals and members of the general public. 

Membership starts from only £50 a year and is open to all healthcare professionals with an interest in headache.

Senior Clinicians and GPs - £110 annual fee.

Neurology Junior doctors in training posts and GP registrars - £50 annual fee.

Headache Specialist Practitioners & PAMs - £50 annual fee.

We work closely with other UK and International headache groups.

Whether you’re just starting out, building your career, or working at the highest level, our membership is designed to suit all professionals to demonstrate and develop their level of knowledge and experience.
